A Taste of What You'll Do
Join GALLO as a Market Development Manager – Retail Wine and help grow beloved wine brands in retail accounts through strategic execution, strong distributor partnerships, and data-driven decisions. In this role you'll spend most of your time in market working side-by-side with distributor reps, DMs and AMs to activate monthly programs, close distribution gaps, and drive points-of-sale. You'll plan your time intentionally, prioritize high-opportunity accounts, coach and train distributor teams, and use tools like Account 360 and commerce marketing assets to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and pivot quickly to deliver results.
You'll bring a commercial mindset and curiosity—reviewing market and competitive data, surfacing pricing and assortment insights, and recommending actions to management. You'll support e‑retail and digital activations, help commercialize local marketing, and represent GALLO at events and in the community. Practical financial stewardship (expense control) and compliance with quality, environmental and safety standards are part of the day-to-day. You'll also contribute to recruiting and local communication efforts as needed and act with intrapreneurial ownership—taking initiative, learning from challenges, and holding yourself and partners accountable.
We're looking for a collaborative, inclusive communicator who motivates distributor teams, builds strong cross-functional relationships, and makes sound, opportunity-focused decisions. Candidates who bring innovation, accountability, and a passion for wine retail will thrive. GALLO is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce and providing reasonable accommodations. If you're energized by growing brands in market, coaching partners, and turning insights into action, we want to hear from you.
