Our vineyards

Welcome to Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley — renowned for cool, coastal micro-climates and diverse soil types, the area creates unique growing conditions that maximize flavor and expression. And, in more recent years, it’s become known as the home of J Vineyards & Winery.

We’re true stewards of the land, tending to cool-climate grape varieties that offer fruit-forward flavors and a crisp natural acidity. Each of our estate vineyards offers a distinct expression of a different location within the vast Russian River Valley American Viticulture Area.

Our winemaking

We believe wine is multidimensional. More than a beverage to be consumed, it’s a part of our most human identity, communities, and stories. It takes us on a journey and opens our eyes to a world beyond our glass.

Under the leadership of Estate Director Nicole Hitchcock, Winemaker Laura Fontaine and her team translate the diversity of the Russian River Valley — from cool, rugged coastal sites to the bright, sun-drenched hillsides — into the glass. The combination of our traditional and time-honored harvest and winemaking techniques with our fresh, modern perspective results in an acclaimed portfolio of exceptional sparkling wines, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and more.
